Debut Middle-Grade Novel
Twelve-year-old Skye Stewart grew up beside the sea; she tracked tides and tidepools, seabirds and starfish—and dreamed of becoming a marine biologist. Skye also dreamed of finding her long-lost father and finally completing her family.
So, when Skye's summer takes a turn and she and her mom travel from Maine to rural Wyoming to help ailing grandparents, opportunity strikes. And by the end of three weeks—with the unlikely help of nine-year old Tuck and her curmudgeon of a grandfather—Skye not only learns about rodeo, riding and wildfires, she discovers her father is in plain sight.
